The V-shot or P-shot is an outpatient procedure, so you can go in, have it performed, and be out later the same day. One may prefer to take a day off work or other responsibilities to allow ample time to get it done, but this is not usually necessary. The PRP will be prepared by first drawing a small amount of blood using a fine needle. These blood vials are placed in a centrifuge to spin them and therefore concentrating the platelet-rich plasma and growth factors. Once the PRP has been activated, it can be used for injection into the specific genital areas. Anaesthesia (injection and anaesthetic cream) is used to numb the areas for injection. The V-shot is injected into the numbed area near the clitoris and upper vagina. The P-shot is injected into the numbed area along the penile shaft and the glans (tip) of the penis.
